Week 15 – Greater Insight

This past week while commenting on other blogs, I came across several that questioned Haanel and his view of God.  This made me question if my daily MKMMA reading is going against my Faith. Alongside of reading of Og Mandino’s scroll 4 which mentions that we are natures greatest miracle and that “nature knows not defeat. Eventually, she emerges victorious and so will I”.  Well… Scripture says we are to be children of God, not natures greatest miracle. And it is God who knows no defeat and emerges victorious and not nature.

So I do my readings with greater discernment. Just  as ” accuracy in building words and sentences is the highest form of architecture in civilization and is a passport to success”…. So is the truth revealed in the Bible the passport to eternal life with Jesus in the Resurrection. And when Haanel states:

MKS 14:23 A scientific understanding of this principle will explain the wonderful results which are secured through the power of prayer. The results which are secured in this way are not brought about by any special dispensations of providence, but on the contrary, they are the result of the operation of a perfectly natural law. There is, therefore, nothing either religious or mysterious about it.”

This statement can sure can ruffle some feathers and I am not going to express an opinion.  I prefer to keep an open mind as I do not have all the answers to the quantum physics of this world which Haanel explained in 14:7-13. The Master Keys System is an illuminated document and there are invisible forces in the world like “electricity” which we are not able to see with our naked eye. I am not going to call anyone who uses electricity to be possessed and worshiping pagan gods. Quantum physics is so above my understanding that I forget it as soon as I read it. So I do not judge on this principle.

I read my Bible with an open mind and do not take it literally at its concrete word. It is a spiritual document and therefore it needs interpretation to get to the true meaning behind the written Word. And there are several meanings that can be attained from that one word. This is insight and the Bible calls it Revelation.

The apostle Paul in the letter to Galations wrote this  Gal 1:11-12

11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Revelation and insight is seeing beyond the written word. It is connecting the dots to form the big picture. Paul was a Pharisee of Pharisees. Before his Revelation, his mission was to crucify the disciples of Christ because he thought that their teaching was blasphemous against the Torah and old testament Scriptures. Jesus only taught Old Testament and revealed Himself as the Messiah from the Old Testament. There was no New Testament at the time. The Jews needed to find Jesus in the invisible because in no place in the Old Testament does “Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah” . There are many clues, patterns,  mysteries, parables that point the finger to Jesus… but the connection, insight and revelation is up to each individual.

So for now when I meditate on “the Father and I are one” I will add “Through Jesus, the Father and I are One”. When I read ” I am natures greatest miracle” I will cross out nature and replace it with God as  it is God who knows No Defeat and Emerges Victorious.

… And through all my readings I will connect the dots to form the big picture.

Interesting thoughts!! A fellow MKMMA’er also wrote in his blog that he changes “nature” to “God” while reading this Scroll as well. He also changed the word “miracle” to “creation” because he resonated with that better!
    Great blog Catherine!

Thoughtful, enjoyable blog Catherine; thank you for sharing. I have found myself challenged by the Master Key lessons to dig deeper for clarity about my faith and beliefs. That has been a blessing. Often I look for the grace to make a comment on what the lesson relates rather than disagreeing. Great blog.
