Week 3 – The way we are

https://i1.wp.com/estock.s3.amazonaws.com/wwtfc1/30/34/8/estock_commonswiki_303408_o.pngIn the the Master Key System by Hannal we find that there are two modes of how our minds function…  the subconscious and the conscious. Our Subconscious thoughts are ruled through our “gut instinct” that controls and guides our actions and is the seat of our dreams and aspirations. Our Conscious minds are more analytical and deals with our outside world through our five senses and has the power for reasoning. Most of our actions and reactions are subconscious. Things like how we slurp our soup, or play with our hair when we get nervous, or even how we respond in varying differing situations.  This subconscious behavior is not controlled by the conscious mind. It is automatic, it is our brains own auto-pilot. It is our Blueprint that has been created by our past and personal relationships and experiences.   We act the way we act and not even realize how we act or even why we react the way we do.I am a mother of two very different children. One has an easy going personality and everything in life just comes easy for her. She excels at everything. My other child although sharing the same household, similar life experiences and they both share the same extra-curricular activities has a very different life. Its much harder for her and therefore her self-talk is  much more negative. I see so much of me in her. Is it the self talk that is creating the hardships?
3:17. It is our attitude of mind toward life which determines the experiences with which we are to meet; if we expect nothing, we shall have nothing; if we demand much, we shall receive the greater portion. The world is harsh only as we fail to assert ourselves. The criticism of the world is bitter only to those who cannot compel room for their ideas. It is fear of this criticism that causes many ideas to fail to see the light of day

I was a child that tried my hardest in school and still was a low B student. I had a lot of anxiety and fear in me … could this anxiety cause my creativity to have been snuffed out by fear of criticism? This anxiety has never gone away although greatly reduced in the past few months. I thought this anxiety was just part of my personality … a personality trait that I passed down to my child. Could changing feelings allow the brain juices to start flowing again and let my and my children’s genius come out?

Well I guess we will find out.  The conscious mind can impress on the subconscious through auto-suggestion by focusing on the change we want. What we focus on grows.   And the results change. We can also charge any feeling to any given situation. Like some people when they do not succeed do not see it as failure and let it get them down. It makes them more determined  and they persist until they succeed.  Totally amazing!

  1. Great post Catherine. 2:13 Not only can it impress other minds, but it can direct the subconscious mind. In this way the conscious mind becomes the responsible ruler and guardian of the subconscious mind. It is this high function which can completely REVERSE conditions in your life. Make it a Super-Fantastic day!

Amazing when we discover just how deep society’s “influence” has affected us. Happily , you are in the process of changing that.
